I just received a call from Ellen Weimer, Secretary at San Marcial #34, and she said Wayne Fisher had called and wanted us to know that Helene is not well.  They have missed several meeting because she has been suffering from "vertigo," so unable to drive.  On Friday, she had a severe nose bleed so they called 911.  She is Presbyterian Hospital downtown and they found her oxygen was low, her lungs rattled, and her heart rhythm was not good.  She may get to go home in a few days.  Their daughter from Nebraska is coming and they have a son in Albq., but they need to find more help.  They have had a couple of "girls," as Wayne calls them, helping for some time.  Wayne is almost blind and has trouble walking, as his knees are bad.

Received word yesterday that Sister Mel Bradley (Queen Esther #1) & husband Brother DT Bradley (Queen Esther #1) were in a serious motor vehicle accident just north of Santa Fe Friday night. Somebody pulled out in front of them from an on ramp and DT did not have time to avoid the accident. Sister Mel was flown out from Santa Fe to UNM Hospital in Albuquerque, the extent of her injuries are unknown, but she did have an airway Tracheotomy. Brother DT is in the hospital in Santa Fe (St. Vincent’s) with a broken sternum, ribs, hand and internal injuries. They are in serious condition.
