Rose Mary Starrett

Born in Artesia NM. Went to college in Roswell at the ENMU-R branch Graduated in 1971 and that is where I met and married Bill who had graduated from Goddard. We will soon be celebrating our 40^th anniversary.

 We have 2 boys, Bill Jr. who lives in Richardson TX and Peyton who is in College at NMSU-Carlsbad.

I am a co-owner of Artesia Soft Water Service and The Water Shoppe and owner of One Woman Studio where I have my taxidermy studio. 

In our spare time we raise registered Nubian Dairy Goats and I am a lifetime member of American Dairy Goat Association. I also am an artisan cheese maker making a lot of soft and semi soft cheeses.  

I am also the board chairman of Grammy’s House which is a domestic violence shelter in Artesia and have served on that board for 14 years.

I was initiated into Artesia Chapter 18 in April of 1993 and was worthy matron in Artesia # 18 in 1998-1999.
